How do I make a legal size copy?

You can make copies of legal size documents by following these steps:

LOADING LEGAL PAPER INTO YOUR BROTHER MACHINE

To copy on to legal paper, you must load legal size paper into your Brother machine by following these instructions:

1. Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine.

2. Remove any paper inside the tray.

3. To adjust the paper width guides, squeeze and slide the green paper guide located on the right side of the paper tray to fit the width of the paper.

4. Fan the stack of legal size paper well to avoid paper jams or misfeeds.

5. Place the paper in the paper tray. The side to be printed on must be face down. The tray can hold up to 250 pages of 20 lb. plain paper.

6. Check that the paper is flat in the tray and m ake sure the paper in the paper tray is below the maximum paper mark (red line on the right green paper guide).

7. Put the paper tray firmly back in the Brother machine. Make sure that it is completely inserted into the machine.

CHANGING THE PAPER SIZE SETTING

After loading the legal size paper into your Brother machine, you must change the Paper Size to legal.

1 . Press MENU, 1 (General Setup), 2 (Paper), 2 (Paper Size).

2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Legal.

3. Press the OK key.

4. Press the STOP/EXIT key.

MAKING A LEGAL SIZE COPY USING THE ADF (AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER)

1. Press the COPY mode key.

2. Place the legal size document you want to copy face up, top edge first in the ADF.

3. Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want to make (up to 99).

4. Press the BLACK START or COLOR START key. Your Brother machine will start printing your copies.

NOTE: To stop copying, press STOP/EXIT.
